Severely hurt at specialized clinic - 15-year-old falls through town hall ceiling
Initially, the rescuers couldn't get to the victim through the building, so the fire department brought out a turntable ladder to reach the roof of the town hall. They connected with the responsive injured girl and assisted her.
Meanwhile, the firefighters also utilized the fire alarm system to allow entry to the 15-year-old girl so that the first responders could start administering aid. She was later extracted from the building by use of the turntable ladder.
Helicopter arrives for evacuation
The girl received emergency medicine and was airlifted to a specialized clinic in Dortmund aboard a night-capable rescue helicopter. The fire department confirmed that there is no threat to life.
Additionally, another girl experienced an arm injury and was tended to by the first responders there.
The police assume it was a tragic accident – no criminal offense has been suspected.
